Initially, our community commitment began with 39 children from local families in Dhaka. However, as time passed, the project quickly expanded. Driven by the migration of numerous families from rural villages seeking better opportunities and livelihoods in the city, the number of children grew exponentially. What started with just 39 students blossomed into an educational haven for 100, 200, and eventually 600 children.
This remarkable growth was achieved through the dedication and collaboration of volunteers from all over the world, combined with the invaluable contributions of locally hired teachers and staff. Together, we crafted a robust educational institution, highly regarded for its solid curriculum taught in English. But our work didn’t stop there; we were committed to developing a thriving community around the school. Many parents found employment within the school, contributing through various roles such as transport, maintenance, uniform production, and food provision through a comprehensive catering service.
Thanks to these collective efforts, the school emerged as one of the premier educational establishments in the region, accommodating up to 600 students at its peak. From the outset, we upheld a high educational standard, with instruction delivered in English, ensuring our students were not only prepared academically but were competitive globally. Our school’s reputation for excellence is reflected in our students’ remarkable achievements: many have earned scholarships to prestigious schools in Dubai, and universities across Europe, the USA, Australia, and the Middle East. Some alumni have even pursued and completed advanced degrees, including Masters programs.
Today, hundreds of our graduates are employed in reputable positions worldwide. They are not only paving successful career paths for themselves but also supporting their families, thus breaking the cycle of poverty. Through education and empowerment, the legacy of our school lives on, transforming lives and contributing to sustainable community development.
