This project was one of several initiatives we developed to empower the parents of families within our community. Specifically designed for women, this endeavor offered them the opportunity to acquire valuable new skills, receive fair compensation for their work, and even pursue their ambitions of starting independent businesses if they so desired.
To bring this vision to life, we equipped the local school with high-quality sewing machines and organized sessions where skilled volunteers provided hands-on training in tailoring and garment repair. Through this program, participating mothers gained proficiency in making and mending clothes, enabling them to produce school uniforms for our students as well as to undertake various dressmaking projects for the wider community.
This initiative not only generated a sustainable source of income for the women involved but also fulfilled an essential service for the community. By fostering skill development and entrepreneurship, we helped create an environment of empowerment and self-sufficiency that continues to inspire positive change within the local area.
